If the DNS was propagated properly, you should be seeing this site now! It’s now on Wordpress and is self-hosted on http://ahbonknet.easyonlygames.com/. Sidebar and, uh, bottom bar widgets are still under construction, and I still wanna add more unique designs to the blog. Took quite a while to tweak the PHP and CSS for features up-till-now. But still, make yourselves at home!
I had the urge to revamp the blog since ages ago. I felt that the previous blog had too many design distractions that prevented you from seeing photos and reading text properly. So I moved to a whiter background and let the photos do all the big talk!
Here’s a list of features I implemented/will implement for this site:
- Post header and metadata are now obvious. Now you know how many comments are left for the post, unlike the previous one!
- You had already gone through this one, the MORE >> button. I wanna free the front page from having those looooooonngg photo posts.
- The top banner picture is randomly selected from 100+ photos for every refresh. Curious? Then the Refresh button is your new friend.
- Categories will be fixed to just under ten items for easy sorting, and they will be shown clearly at the side/bottom bar.
- I’m planning to do away with the chatbox, so if you wanna leave a message, you gotta go to the relevant post’s comment page. This is to ensure that comments are tied nicely to the post, so they stay there forever. Also, your first comment will have to be approved, but not subsequent comments.

Whoa, a revamp! Goin minimal eh? I like it that you centered back the body like ur older blogs. But Im liking your randomised banner the most in this revamp. I think the contents feels like it’s floating around right now. A quick solution is to put the left and right borders to ur body. Another quick solution is to elongate your header’s and footer’s border/background to the edge of the screen. Anyway nice work overall.
Thanks Aidi, that’s a lot of constructive feedback! You’re right, the content is all over the place now, more like it’s not contained properly. I don’t think I like border lines though, maybe a different colour for the left and right side of the blog to give that illusion of a border line.
I also feel that the Uniqlo banner right now are making things messier. Maybe I’ll move it to the bottom as well. I’ll do all this after my exam… sigh exam
So clean one geh. ;p

The blog is now fast loading for two reasons: the design load is not that great, but more importantly the server now resides within the easyonlygames.com domain, which is in Malaysia.
The banner made me realize that any picture looks cool when they’re cropped to panoramic view lol… but douzo, refresh as much as you want! :)
