All I can say is this: It is MORE than just a story of an earthquake hitting Tokyo. Was pleasantly surprised with the entire show.
Don’t worry, it’s still just a regular earthquake hitting Tokyo, with the setting emulating the findings of real-life researchers. You’ll just know what I mean when you watch it.
Powerful storytelling. Powerful character build-up. Powerful visuals. Definitely within my Top 5 this year. Possibly the best even? As many anime blog commenters attested, it’s on its way to becoming a classic.
Cheers to Bones for this one.

Must be great since its by Bones, but is it tragic?
Well it is an earthquake after all, so it’s tragic at some points, but also uplifting in others.
Hi.
Where is your Hiroshima-travel-diary??
I want read that again.
Please tell me that URLs, thank you.
Hi dgz, nice to meet you! I’m putting those links in my blog’s sidebar either tonight or tomorrow, but here’s the URL first:
http://ahbonknet.easyonlygames.com/?p=3
At the bottom just above the footer, you can see a link to go to the next day of travel. Thanks for reading again!
Thank you so much!
I’m so glad to read your diary and see my dad.
I print it out :D
No probs, it’s all worth the trouble if a reader wants to print the pages out ;)
By the way, there were 2 dads whom we met during the Hiroshima trip, Hideyuki-sensei and Uncle Omar. Which one is yours?
Hide—- is. He passed away.
Your diary told me what I didn’t know about him.
So it is so valuable. Thanks.

Yes I agree this is a great series!
Pity about Bakemonogatari and its production problems though, it was really getting interesting.
Hehe sry Fabian, didn’t want to spoil anyone with that ;)
Yea even Shaft is hit hard… but I still love the show, even if it’s just Red and Black screens alternating with voices
Yes, it’s a great anime movie (I had just watched it last night). Thumb up!
