Summer Series #2: International Exchange Fest

Yukata see this!

My Japanese language school is part of the Yamano group, more famous for its education in aesthetics and beauty. Just before the train arrives in Yoyogi via Oedo line, the announcement goes “Those who wish to go to Yamano Beauty College, please alight at the next station”. They’re THAT famous coz that’s rarely done! Either that or they paid Tokyo Metro a lot of money lol.

As such, some students in my school are studying Japanese to be able to enter such colleges. Every year, the school organizes a bus trip to Yamano College of Aesthetics, like some sort of exclusive Open Day for us and labels it as “International Exchange Festival”. Yea as if, it’s more like a “Hey look at this” day if you ask me :P

I didn’t take many pictures of the facility, as we were rushed by the guides. You should check their website. All three schools had a major overhaul on their websites, which look pretty decent now!

First, free breakfast at my school. These are my two deskmates; Sung Ho from Korea, a weird guy who spouts out untimely jokes but darn funny nevertheless, and Shasshon from China, we call her Wagamama Hime (selfish princess) coz she sleeps and eats in class, and comes to school whenever she wants. Fun to talk to, when she’s around that is.

And this I-can-get-a-girlfriend-whenever-I-want looking dude is Shun Ken from Hong Kong. He’s terribly addicted to Wangan Midnight in the arcades and own up to 5 car cards currently.

We rode the bus with an afternoon-session class, who happily showed their peace signs early in the morning.

After an hour or so, we have arrived. First place we visited was the art room.

Anyone wanna draw me? I guess not.

Then the hairdressing room. Sung Ho is trying to tear out what little hair I have left.

Off to the shampooing room. Here, my classmate Ye Hou from Hong Kong demonstrates how to use the invisible water to wash down the invisible shampoo.

I dunno what that is, but I think it’s a super advanced tool to measure your height. Yeah.

Should’ve eaten more long beans.

Reflective camwhoring in the campus gym.

And now it’s time to change into our Yukata. For the whole International Exchange thingy. Heh whatever, I wanna try this on!

Just met this girl on the bus. She’s Mee Hyung from Korea and she aspires to be a newscaster. Awesome! All the best to her!

Shasshon wearing a yukata enhances her selfish princess aura, mwahahahahah *punched on the shoulder by her, as always*

My two Korean ex-classmates, Bomi in pink and Hemming in blue.

This is Cindy from Taiwan, being kewt as usual <3 You can see her in motion in my Akiba vid.

The girl surrounded by 3 beasts is Kami-chan from Hong Kong. She’s the resident little cuddly girl of the class.

It’s almost time for photography session, gotta get ready.

Yukata troop, reporting in!

That hand on the right belonged to our school principal, Tanaka-sensei. “GET IN LINE ALREADY!”, he screamed to the cameraman. So sorry my dear classmate :P

We entered the teahouse after that and had a nice little tea ceremony. No pictures allowed inside though :(

Always wanted to do this once in my lifetime.

Took a rest in the college cafeteria with 3 beautiful Korean ladies. In the middle is Nae, she has gone back to Korea for good :(

Joined up with my cousin Dzaid in the auditorium hall. He’s in the super advanced genius class, so we walked separate ways before this.

Next on the itinerary is a fashion show performed by the college students.

Of course, being college students means they wanna be as flashy as they can!

Fascinating. Gotta make sure I don’t come here for a haircut.

During the show, Hakukun had a time of his life playing baseball on his DS. Fashion? Pfffttt I wanna score a home run yo!
